Each week, volunteers travel all over the state to visit several prison locations. These volunteers host the incarcerated Crossings family as they enter the worship room with coffee and donuts, then they stay and watch the recorded worship and teaching (from the live service at Crossings OKC). After the service, the volunteers spend time in fellowship with the inmates.
”The services at Great Plains Correctional Center (GPCC) have been a lifeline for our precious son who is a strong believer incarcerated there. You are bringing encouragement and hope in moments of despair and heartache. The community of Christ showing up for these men is giving us—the family members—such comfort. It’s awful to know your son is in a place like GPCC, and to pray desperately for God’s protection and presence then to hear our son talk about how encouraged he was by the sermon and the worship … it’s a gift for us as well. Thank you for what you’re doing. It matters so much to so many.” - Parent of an incarcerated Crossings attendee
This event is designed to bring a time of fun and fellowship to the incarcerated Crossings family, allowing them to experience moments like they would outside of prison. Block parties include a lot of outdoor activities, like yard games (sack races, tug of war, Jenga, etc.), snacks, and music!
“I have been delivering to the different units today and I see pure joy on all of the faces. Normally when I walk around it’s dreary and somber. Thank you for bringing joy to the yard.” - Volunteer Chaplain
Offering the Global Leadership Summit at multiple prison campuses is one way we try to remind our incarcerated Crossings family that God sees their value while equipping them with the tools to grow in their confidence and leadership ability. Volunteers travel across the state to host this summit taught by world-class leaders on topics like innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
"Best thing ever provided in prison”“A leadership culture/environment is needed in prison.”"Thanks to Crossings for this service to the incarcerated."- GLS Attendees
The Global Leadership Academy, a program driven by incarcerated men and women, will offer year-long classes that dive deep into the topics discussed at the Global Leadership Summit.
Each July, Crossings partners with Feed the Hunger to pack hundreds of thousands of nutritious meals for children and families in need. Packathons are offered at each physical Crossings location and even inside some of the prisons!
In 2024, 250 people from the incarcerated Crossings family (and 26 prison volunteers) packed 100,000 meals at two of the prison packathons. These events are a unique opportunity for those incarcerated to give back and for some, this is their first time to volunteer.
After watching the video that shows the conditions of the children the meals go to, a participant said, "You aren't human if that didn't touch your heart! Even in prison, I have it better. I have a cot/mat to sleep on and I get three meals a day." - Feed the Hunger participant
This 10-week class explores the basic teachings of Christianity to explore what it means to live a Christ-centered life. During a session of Centered, incarcerated men and women focus on their spiritual gifts and are given an opportunity to serve, both of these focuses emphasize the importance of service and using the unique gifts God has given us.

At each location, a group of incarcerated leaders serve as our connection to the larger incarcerated population. They serve their community and in turn we serve, fellowship with, and pour into them.
