How Can We Help?
As followers of Christ, we are called to love, encourage, support, pray, and care for one another.
Prayer & Biblical Support
Sometimes it helps to talk to someone and Crossings pastors would love to hear from you and talk about life from a biblical perspective.
Congregational Care ministry that comes alongside those in the Crossings family in seasons of sorrow, sickness, and setbacks.
One of the ways we care for each other is through our Congregational Care ministry that comes alongside those in the Crossings family in seasons of sorrow, sickness, and setbacks. This shows up in a number of ministries that are largely unseen, yet significant. These ministries range from hospital and shut-in visits, to financial help and counseling for those in hard times, to fellowship for the retired and elderly, to a committed prayer team who prays over requests submitted on Sundays and during the week. We also take joy in ministering to those who are grieving, joining them in their immediate sorrow and following up with them weeks, and sometimes months, after their loss.
Caring for the congregation is a value rooted in the church’s formative years. Because this value continues, many in the Crossings family feel the same sense of intimacy felt by those in the early years, when our church was much smaller.
Through support and recovery groups, CareSeries provides opportunities for individuals to find hope and healing by participating with others who are facing similar life challenges.
Celebrate Recovery, led by trained individuals, helps participants experience the healing that takes place in a Christ-centered environment using the eight biblical principles found in the Beatitudes (from Matthew 5) and the traditional 12 steps.
Counseling is offered to Crossings members who regularly attend Sunday services on a regular basis and who are assessed as appropriate to the level of assistance LifeCare can offer.
The purpose of spiritual formation within the Church is to become more like Christ everyday.
Stephen Ministers provide Crossings members confidential, one-on-one Christian care and encouragement to those experiencing a difficult time such as grief, divorce, job loss, isolation, illness, etc.
The Family Advocacy Ministry exists to meet the needs of individuals and families in our community. This network of local partnerships, which includes Chosen for adoptive and foster parents, Safe Families resources, and CarePortal groups, provides hope for restoration with Christ’s love offered by a caring church community.
