Prison Ministry
Our model is to simply launch Crossings locations behind the walls of our local prisons and give men and women, both inside and outside of prison, the opportunity to attend church together.
We invite the imprisoned to walk alongside us, as we aspire to be a Christ-centered people who live by faith, are a voice of hope, and are known by love. We draw no distinctions between those on the outside and those on the inside. We are all broken and in need of a Savior. Launching a church in a prison is one of the most rewarding and challenging of all Kingdom undertakings. It’s a messy, all-hands-on-deck venture that requires great sweat, bold prayers, deep faith, and rich sacrifice, but all the hard work is far outweighed by the joy and reward of experiencing friends behind bars who find and follow Jesus.

Wednesday Mornings
Simply Open Scripture (SOS) Bible Study at Mabel Bassett was created for volunteers to be the hands and feet of Jesus and show women who are incarcerated at Mabel Bassett Correctional Center that God does indeed have a wonderful plan and purpose for their life—both while in and out of prison—and they are not forgotten.
Our ministry team encourages the women to open their Bibles and learn about God's love. The team offers support, love and grace to the women each week. We meet on Wednesday mornings. Must be an approved Department of Corrections Volunteer.
Thursday Afternoons
Living Free Bible Study exists to share the love of Christ with the church at Mabel Bassett Correctional Center and offer biblical principles and strategies for successful transition back into society.
Our ministry team leads Bible study, worship, prayer, and Scripture memorization and showers the women with lots of love and encouragement. We meet on Thursday afternoons. Must be an approved Department of Corrections Volunteer.
