What is a disciple?

Discipleship Pathway

To be a Christian is to be a disciple. This intentional pursuit of knowing Jesus deeply and becoming more like him is what we call discipleship.

Discipleship Pathway

Where do I start?

Crossings Discipleship Pathway is how Crossings follows in the footsteps of Jesus, adopting his way of life as our own. It is supported by three pillars Jesus modeled during his ministry: weekly worship, small groups, and a personal relationship with God.

Crossings encourages everyone who calls this their church home to commit to each of these three pillars:

  • Prioritize Weekly Worship
  • Actively Participate in a Group
  • Engage Your Personal Relationship with God
Participate in a Group

Participate in a Group

Participate in a smaller community where you are challenged, encouraged, and known.

These smaller groups are places where you can share your story, dive deeper into Scripture, learn more about the work God has done throughout history, and find connection with other believers.

Personal Relationship

Personal Relationship

Connect with God individually through regular spiritual practices

The Church has historically referred to the spiritual disciplines as “means of grace” through which we position ourselves in the ordinary places where God’s power is typically at work.

Rather than thinking of the disciplines as goals that must be achieved to be a “good” Christian, consider them God’s invitation to a full, abundant life.
