Known by Love
Dear Crossings Family,

As you likely know, SNAP food benefits are expected to pause on November 1, impacting 684,600 Oklahomans. Crossings Community Church is committed to responding to this critical need and demonstrating God's love to our community. Read below to learn about the ways we are responding and how you can help.

Our Response

Assistance to Food Bank Partners: We have provided additional funding to our existing partners: Crossings Mayfair Food Pantry, BritVil Food Pantry, and Project 66 Food Pantry. The food pantries prefer additional financial support because they can purchase food items in bulk from their suppliers at a significantly lower price than retail grocers.

Food Distribution on November 16: Crossings Community Center will host a food distribution on Sunday, November 16 at 1:00 p.m. More details coming soon.

As we continue to monitor the current situation, we will provide support as further needs arise—we anticipate a secondary effect that will cause individuals to prioritize food over other essential bills. Continue to check this page for updates and to learn how you can help us respond to ongoing needs.

How You Can Be Known by Love

Financial Contributions: We encourage you to contribute to Missions, because all of the additional funding provided to our Food Pantry Partners comes from Missions. Financial donations are highly impactful as our mission partners can purchase necessary items at reduced prices through food suppliers.

As a reminder, we tithe on your tithe: ten percent of the giving we receive immediately goes to Missions. Thanks to your generous giving, Missions was able to respond immediately as these needs arose. Any further giving directly towards Missions will support our Food Pantry Partners during this time.

To make a financial contribution, click the button below and select Crossings OKC, Edmond, or Mayfair for your location, then select "Missions" as the fund for your giving.

Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteers are essential for various tasks, including: picking up food, restocking shelves, and preparing for distributions at Mayfair Food Pantry.
