The Old Testament is weird and confusing, so should we just stick with the New Testament? The truth is the New Testament can be just as confusing and strange as the Old Testament. We need help in ’’how not to read the Bible’’ to rightly understand both testaments. This class focuses on the challenges and Bible passages to help you better understand the Old Testament. While weird and strange to us today, the original readers would have understood them and known how to apply them to their lives. Come explore some truly amazing (and puzzling) Old Testament texts with us.
BIO: Stacey L. Douglas is a former writer and editor at Museum of the Bible. He has a M.Div. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, IL) and completed coursework for a M.A. in Old Testament studies and Semitic languages. He also has a B.A. in Psychology. He has taught many courses on the Bible, biblical interpretation, theology, and church history.
