Have you ever really thought about what God wants? When we survey the life of Jesus, God’s deepest desires become clear. God wants to be present with us, and God wants us to know him. Through the Old Testament, God was present with his people through a burning bush, a pillar of fire, a mobile tabernacle, and the Holy of Holies in the Jerusalem temple.
The New Testament opens with the four gospels, a little word that means "Good News." The gospels proclaim the presence of God on the planet in the person of Jesus Christ. No more tabernacles or mercy seats. He is here in the flesh. In this study, we are going to focus on Jesus, the One and Only, so that we can say, with the Apostle John: The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son,
Generous inside and out, true from start to finish. John 1:14 MSG
