CARE PORTAL

The Care Portal helps connect churches and agencies in the child welfare space to address the needs of hurting children and families. Often small things like a bus pass, electric bill, or a twin bed can be what stands between a child staying with their family or entering foster care. By meeting practical needs such as this, our goals are to see less children entering the foster care system, family preservation, better resources for children aging out of foster care, and more children finding permanent, loving homes through adoption. The Care Portal is a unique opportunity to make a huge difference in our community!

PRISONS CAMPUSES

During this unprecedented year, God has given us an incredible opportunity as a church to impact 25 prisons across the state of Oklahoma. This means we need many volunteers to be a voice of hope as we launch services at these new locations.

HOW CAN I SERVE?
Flexibly. Passionately. Selflessly. Launching a church in a prison is one of the most rewarding and one of the most challenging of all Kingdom undertakings. It’s a messy, all-hands-on-deck venture that requires great sweat, bold prayers, deep faith, and rich sacrifice, but all the hard work is far outweighed by the joy and reward of experiencing friends behind bars who find and follow Jesus. To be contacted by our Crossings Prison Campus staff who will help you discern your best serving fit or to see a list of the major categories of serving opportunities, go to the volunteer interest form.

HOW MUCH TIME WILL BE REQUIRED TO SERVE?
Since state prisons are located throughout Oklahoma and with the varied distances of each facility, you can anticipate a minimum of five hours once a month. This includes meeting your group, travel time, getting through security, the service, and travel back. We schedule our Sunday opportunities on a rotation of one service each month.

WHICH MINISTRIES WILL YOU START WITH?
Initially, our focus is on having the strongest Sunday experience possible for all prison campuses. This includes a dvd and/or streaming worship, Pastor Marty’s sermon, and time of prayer. We provide coffee, worship folders, and pens for each prison location. We also offer Centered once a year.

READY TO GET STARTED?

    • Start by completing the Volunteer Interest Form.
    • Volunteer Ministry will contact you to complete the volunteer application and run a background check.
    • Apply for DOC (Department of Corrections) badge. You will need this before you can serve.
    • Attend Crossings Prison Campus volunteer training and start serving!

CROSSINGS COMMUNITY CENTER

Crossings Community Center exists to meet the physical and spiritual needs of those in our community. We are here to help make our community a more spiritually, physically, and relationally healthy place to live, but we can’t do it alone! Ready to jump in?

Current Opportunities

      • COMMUNITY NIGHTS // OCTOBER 2, 2020 // 5:30-8PM
A chance to serve our local neighbors and allow them the opportunity to grow their faith and build a strong community through events that include sports, games, food, outreach and worship. We need cooks, food servers, barbers, artists, athletes, and anyone else who loves Jesus and wants to help in any way.
      • GYM MONITOR // SATURDAYS // 9AM-12PM
Beginning with one Saturday per month, our basketball gym gives local teens a safe and fun place where Christian teens and adults can pray, connect, and build relationships with them.
      • CENTER EVENT HOST // AS NEEDED
Hosts are onsite to help provide a warm welcome to groups utilizing the space for their various events. This is a great way to make lasting relationships with ministries and organizations in our community.
      • PHOTOGRAPHER // AS NEEDED
Do you have photography or videography skills? Use your talents as a photographer and maybe even teach some of our Club students how to do the same!
      • HOSPITALITY VOLUNTEER // THURSDAY AFTERNOON
Choose your shift between 1 and 4:30 p.m.
      • CDL DRIVER // THURSDAYS // 2-3PM
Transportation for The Club students is one of the biggest expenses we have at the Community Center. We would love to have a CDL driver to transport students from John Marshall High School to the Community Center. We have the students. We have the buses. We just need the drivers.
      • SMALL GROUP LEADER // THURSDAYS // 2:30-5PM
This is one of the most important, and most fun, ministries we have. We meet weekly during the school year to mentor, pour into, and build relationships with high school students.
      • FREE TIME LEADER // THURSDAYS // 4-5PM
All teenagers need to learn basic life skills. Do you have a special skill, talent, hobby, or employable skill? Come share that knowledge with The Club students for a four or five-week block at a time.
      • ART LEADER // THURSDAYS // 4-5PM
We love giving our students the opportunity to express themselves creatively and discover new ways to worship God. We could use a few committed artists to lead our students through different art projects.
      • AUDIOVISUAL TECH // THURSDAYS // 2:30-3:30PM
During The Club program, run the audio/visual system.
      • GYM/FITNESS LEADER // THURSDAYS // 4-5PM
We want to make sure The Club students understand the benefit of healthy living and exercise. If you want to have some fun playing sports, leading classes, and getting fit with The Club students, join our team!
