SCRIPTURE

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” - Revelation 1:8 NIV

PRAYER

Dear God,

You are, from the beginning and throughout eternity, the Almighty God. You are faithful, all-powerful, and just. In these uncertain times, it is comforting to know you haven’t changed. You are still good. You haven’t taken your eyes off me or the situation in the world. I can trust you to be with me, to go before me, to be my rock and safe place. I pray those who are hurting, serving, working, and those who feel lost, will turn to you for strength and know your unchanging faithfulness in a personal way. As I pray for others, I pray the same for me, to remember you are here, you are faithful, from beginning to end.

Amen.

JOURNAL REFLECTION

One word God uses to describe himself is Almighty. Some words that are comparable to that are omnipotent, invincible, all-powerful, supreme, omnipresent. How does this help you put your trust in God, knowing this is who he is?
