SCRIPTURE

May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy. - Philippians 1:2-4 NLT

PRAYER

Dear God,

The last couple of months have opened my eyes to the needs of my family, my community, and the world. I pray for the local, national, and international leaders and their advisors—give them your divine wisdom, steadfast courage, and foresight as they continue making decisions that affect entire populations. I pray for those serving others–provide ample medical supplies and personnel, keep them safe, let the prayers of millions buoy them, and meet their tireless efforts with restoration and rest. I pray for the sick and those who love them–give them peace and understanding of your eternal promise, let them experience your presence in the fullness of grace and peace today.

I pray all these things with a joy found in the hope of my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Amen.

JOURNAL REFLECTION

Who do you need to pray for in your circle of contacts/influence? What are specific needs they have? You may want to make a list, and add to it as others come to mind. Thank the Lord for each person, and lift their needs to the God who hears and answers.

CALL TO ACTION

What a privilege it is to pray for others! Today’s prayer reminds us how crucial and powerful it is to pray for God’s people, especially those who are fatigued from caring for, serving, protecting, and making decisions for others. Today, watch the sermon message, “Pray for One Another,” and reflect on who you can lift up in prayer today.
