SCRIPTURE

It was their sin and greed that made me angry, so I struck them and hid my face from them. But they continued in rebellion, following their own desires. PRAYER

God,

Thank you for repaying my selfish and rebellious ways with comfort and healing. I know I have given you reason to be angry and hide your face from me, but your mercy is always fast coming and your grace is greater than my failures. When the world’s attractions lead me astray and I begin to backslide, you guide me forward, surrounding me with your peace. The consequences of sin cannot cut deeper than the healing you offer. In rejoicing or mourning, I will praise you as Alpha and Omega, God Eternal, with no beginning and no end.

CALL TO ACTION

There are times when we feel our sins are too great for God to forgive. We can even feel there are times God will leave us where he found us: broken, rebellious, and wandering away from him further into darkness. Thankfully, our God is a God of boundless grace, mercy, understanding, and love.
