“Be still, and know that I am God!” – Psalm 46:10a NLT.

Heavenly Father, you are God. I know you are God, but I struggle to merely sit with that knowledge. Calm my spirit, quiet my mind, steady my breath until I cease striving, and just rest in that truth. There are so many moments in the day that call for action, response, attention, going, and doing, I long for refreshment that comes from stillness, abiding, and being. For these few minutes, help me cease pursuing all things and retreat into your loving pursuit of me. Resting in you I pray, amen.
