Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses. But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. – Luke 5:15-16 NIV
Dear God, I know I am able to turn to you in prayer at any time, any place—regardless of my environment. I have access to you in the midst of chaos, as well as the quiet, set-apart times. Noise and busyness may drown out your voice, but mine comes through loud and clear to you, even if it is just a thought. While I know this, I also understand that as with anything else in life, my undivided attention results in a more clarified message. By silencing my mind and surroundings, as Jesus did so often during his lifetime, I experience an audience with your Spirit in heightened and illuminated ways. I worship your presence, and pray in your name, amen.
