DAY 30

DAY 30

SCRIPTURE

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. - 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 KJV

PRAYER

Heavenly Father,

My response to your sacrificial love and gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus is to be nothing less than unrelenting worship. Rejoicing, today and evermore, regardless of circumstance. Let me find joy in the midst of struggle or celebration, isolation or togetherness. May my prayers be unceasing and earnest, where my heart cries out to yours and is met with wisdom, comfort, and serenity. And in everything, I thank you, Lord, with all that I am and all that I have, in a posture of worship; knowing that you love me, you are on your throne, and you haven’t left me. You are good, all the time.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

JOURNAL REFLECTION

Take each of the responses that are the will of God for you and describe how you live them out in your own life: rejoice evermore; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks. What would you like to improve, and how would that change your relationship with God?

END OF THE AFTERMATH REFLECTION

Reflect on the journal questions from the past 10 days. How has your life changed since you first encountered Jesus? How has it changed since you surrendered your life to him and gave him control? Write your thoughts on the “My Aftermath Journey" page of your 40 Days of Prayer journal.

CALL TO ACTION

As we draw the third section of 40 Days of Prayer to a close today, reflect on your experience so far. How has God used this intentional time of prayer, journal reflection, and exploration of your aftermath experience? How have you felt God’s presence during this time?
