“Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.” - 1 Timothy 6:17-19 NASB
Father God, one thing I’ve learned this past year is putting faith in my money, possessions, or even routines will lead to disappointment. I need to trust the Provider and not the provision. This small shift in mindset realigns my heart from what is temporary to what is eternal, from what I have to what you’ve given, from “mine” to “mine to manage.” Changing my mind about resources, from owner to manager, triggers a transformation of miser to giver, hoarder to sharer, and collector to contributor. Remind me daily, Lord, regardless of my place in life, I always have enough to give something away, not the least of which is love. In your name, amen.
