DAY 20 – MARCH 11

DAY 20 – MARCH 11

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. - 1 Corinthians 2:10b-13 NIV

Holy Spirit, it is through you alone I can know the thoughts of God. Help me to clear my calendar and my mind, to sit with you and to take in the words of Scripture. I want to dwell on God’s Word, roll verses and passages around in my head, and depend on you for revelation and meaning. Give me patience and perseverance, understanding that my pursuit is a mighty one, a holy one, and the enemy is on mission to distract me and take me away from this sacred time. Let me stand strong and hold onto the promise that comes with the free gift of your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, amen.
