DAY 2

DAY 2

SCRIPTURE

For the people of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, until all the nation, the men of war who came out of Egypt, perished, because they did not obey the voice of the Lord; the Lord swore to them that he would not let them see the land that the Lord had sworn to their fathers to give to us, a land flowing with milk and honey. - Joshua 5:6 ESV

PRAYER

Dear God,

The times I find myself distant from you are often the times you use to draw me near to you. In the wilderness, you give me clarity and space to examine my life and reveal what separates us. If I have turned from your will in disobedience and taken back control, becoming the god of my own life, the wilderness offers opportunity to see you for who you are and surrender the throne back to you. Thank you, Lord, that you won’t let me perish in my wilderness, but that you promise a future with you in glory.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

JOURNAL REFLECTION
