DAY 19

DAY 19

SCRIPTURE

From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ. - John 1:16-17 NLT

PRAYER

Heavenly Father,

What a blessing to not have my spiritual standing determined by my obedience to the law given through Moses, but instead to receive it as a gift through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I couldn't earn my salvation. No one could, and the law proved it. From your abundance came the most gracious blessing of all: Jesus. Through him came salvation for all who put their faith in him. I am grateful for your unfailing love that saved me. May I live out my thankfulness in ways that bring you honor and glory.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

JOURNAL REFLECTION

Have you considered the fact that you are no longer under the law of Moses? What does it mean to you that you received grace through Jesus instead of having to earn your way to God?

CALL TO ACTION

Today’s prayer reminds us of two incredible things: we don’t have to earn our salvation, and God’s love for us is unfailing and unconditional. If you have already given your life to Christ, reflect today on the amazing gift of God’s love, grace, and redemption and how it has changed your life. If you have not received this gift of salvation and would like to, we invite you to pray this powerful prayer.
