DAY 16

DAY 16

SCRIPTURE

You’ve kept track of my every toss and turn through the sleepless nights, each tear entered in your ledger, each ache written in your book. - Psalm 56:8 MSG

PRAYER

Heavenly Father,

You are the creator and sustainer of the world. You set up ecosystems and solar systems; you breathe life into every living thing. Still you never take your eyes off of me. Like a doting father concerned for his child, watching me on sleepless nights. You know what is keeping me awake, why my heart aches and why I cry out. And while you tell me in your Word you keep no record of wrongs or remember my sin no more, you do keep record of my heartache and tears. I know you are more than a record-keeper, you are near–you whisper peace into my anxious thoughts, capture my tears, and begin to heal my broken heart with the promise to never leave me.

Thank you for your loving care.

Amen.

JOURNAL REFLECTION

What does it mean to you that God would be so intimately involved in your life he would keep track of your tossing and turning? That while your sins are not recorded, your tears are?
