SCRIPTURE

When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you set in place—what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? - Psalm 8:3-4 NLT

PRAYER

God,

Creation displays your faithfulness. Nothing can stop you from bringing forth the seasons—trees and grasses are green, flowers around the world bloom the colors you assigned to them, the sky fills with rain clouds and thunderous storms and then relent to calm and peaceful heavens, full of stars. No matter what else surrounds me, I know your power and beauty won’t be contained. You are greater than anything you created, and yet you care for everything you created. Remind me, today, as I gaze upon the evidence of your majesty in this season, how you are mindful of me, you care about my well-being, and you are faithful to fulfill your perfect plan for all of creation, even me.

In your powerful name,

Amen.
