SCRIPTURE

Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. - Romans 12:12 NLT

PRAYER

Father God,

What a privilege it is to come boldly into your presence in prayer. It is in you I can find hope in all things. You give me the strength to persevere in times of trouble. You don’t tire of me or my concerns. I am not a burden to you; you are always there for me. You are safe. You are trustworthy. You are faithful. Let me confidently wait on your timing, and in the waiting, seek you even more fervently and expectantly, knowing you are hearing my prayer. You are my source of life-giving, unrelenting hope, and that is reason enough to rejoice.

In the name of hope,

Amen.

JOURNAL REFLECTION

What does patience look like in the midst of what is going on in the world, and in your own life? When you consider the words, "keep on praying," do you feel hope? How does knowing God wants us to keep praying help you understand how he is working during this time?

CALL TO ACTION

Today’s Scripture is a powerful reminder of the hope we have in God. Today’s Scripture is also a reminder that all too often, we struggle with staying patient and waiting for God’s will to be done when we experience challenges in our lives. Today, watch the sermon message, “Never Without Hope,” and refocus on the truth and hope found in Romans 12:12.
