Oxford was the location of a group meeting begin by Charles Wesley that John take over the leadership at Charles' request. George Whitefield and others were part of this group. John led a group in Oxford that can be traced all the way to the modern adaptation of small groups.

John Wesley earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees here at Christ Church, Oxford. He later was employed as a teaching fellow at Lincoln College, Oxford

This is the location where John Wesley preached the sermon: The Almost Christian. He was critical of the lives those preparing for ministry were living. He had preached here on other occasions before this but he was never asked to preach here again. He recorded in his journal this sense when he states that he will likely never be asked again to preach here.

The home of the Wesley family where Samuel and Suzanna had 19 children, 10 of which survived infancy. The location also is where John was miraculously saved from death by a fire in the home. Located in Epworth, this is the home of the Wesley family where Samuel and Suzanna had 19 children.
