Safe Families Oklahoma, a volunteer movement, is part of a nationwide effort designed to support vulnerable children and parents in need.

Christian families engage in the spiritual practice of biblical hospitality by opening their homes to vulnerable children whose parents are experiencing a short-term emergency or crisis. Parents voluntarily allow their children to stay in safe, loving homes while they seek to restore stability in their lives. Typically, the assistance to these families lasts only a few months. Crossings is leading this community initiative and is dedicated to providing family support, stabilization and, most importantly, preventing child abuse.

MEMBER-LED MINISTRIES

Member-led ministries are ministries of special interest and passion that Crossings members lead and invite volunteer participation.

Chosen seeks to mobilize the Christian community to action in defense of the orphaned and fatherless by opening their homes, hearts, and arms to reach them with the love of Christ. We approach foster care and adoption from a biblical perspective; however, we welcome families of all beliefs.

OPPORTUNITIES

Not everyone can become an adoptive or foster parent, but everyone can do something for these children. There are countless ways to get involved and change the life of a child in foster care:
