The Apprentice Series at Crossings is accepting applications for the Fall 2016 session! Explore this event for more information and apply below!
The best way to master a skill is to find someone who’s already mastered it, and ask them if you can spend time with them — observing their work environment, listening in on conversations, practicing the way they use the tools of the trade. When this relationship is sanctioned, it is referred to as apprenticeship. Nearly all skilled workers learn this way — doctors, plumbers, mechanics and carpenters.
Jesus is the uncontested Master of living well. In Apprentice, we make careful observations of his life by examining his teaching and personal interactions as reported in the Gospels. By doing this in the context of committed community, and supplemented with weekly “soul training exercises,” we have found that apprentices become more like Christ.
Apprentice will be focusing on The Good and Beautiful God and meeting the following times this fall:
Room 231 | 9:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Begins September 12th, 2016
Room 220 | 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Begins August 24th, 2016
If this sounds interesting to you, please fill out the application on this page.
Not sure if Apprentice is right for you? Join us for a very brief introductory meeting on Sunday, August 14th at 10:20 a.m. in the Chapel, or email Deidre Franklin at email@example.com.
