The Serenity Prayer: A New Perspective on a Popular Prayer
By Marty Grubbs
The Serenity Prayer: A New Perspective on a Popular Prayer is available in the Crossings Bookstore for $6.00 (includes tax) and all proceeds benefit Crossings ministries.
About the Book:
Authored by the American theologian Reinhold Niebuh, the Serenity Prayer gained popularity in the 1940’s when it was widely distributed within Alcoholics Anonymous and other 12-step programs. The prayer embraces the frailty of the human condition as well as the necessity to live each day trusting in the faithfulness of a good and gracious God. This position of surrender and humility in our current life gives us hope for the promised eternal supreme happiness in the next.
