The Dollar Club – March 2015

The Dollar Club @ Crossings is making a difference in the lives of students at The Club. Find out how below!

Crossings Community Center stays busy and full of kids involved in The Club each week. The Club, which was started 8 years ago, is an after-school program that allows students to gather at the Community Center, focus on Jesus, and then grow in community. Oftentimes, the students involved in The Club program have less opportunities for enrichment activities than what most kids have the opportunity for.

Each Sunday, over 5,000 people gather at Crossings for worship. As an act of worship, we collect tithes and offerings in each of our services. Many of those 5,000 people give cash and some of it is in the form of $1.00 bills. We set aside those $1.00 bills each week so at the end of each month, we can gift the entire total of $1.00 bills to a person, family, or ministry in need.

The Dollar Club @ Crossings chose to invest our March contributions in the 11 Junior students involved in The Club to create a custom-designed ACT prep program at the Crossings Community Center. Offering this program to the students at The Club will help them to be more competitive as they apply not only for college, but also for college scholarships.

If you’d like to go a little deeper in your investment in The Club, we’re looking for 11 college graduates who are willing to let The Club students job shadow with you for six hours once per month. Please contact Pam Millington, Pastor of Missions and Outreach Ministries, by email at to learn more and get involved.
