Crossings is a Christ-centered church committed to live by faith, be a voice of hope, and be known by love. This statement–the Crossings mission statement–is at the heart of each ministry both inside the church’s walls and out in our world.

Recently, a group of volunteers exemplified our mission statement when they helped remove playground equipment from Joe’s Crab Shack in Oklahoma City. Men from Crossings and The Ark Church out of Conroe, Texas gathered to help remove and package this playground equipment for the use of the global missions group, Maximizing Children’s Ministries (MCM) International. MCM International exists to build playgrounds for children who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to experience one, and they do this through repurposing playground equipment that is headed for a landfill.

The equipment will be reassembled in Roatan, Honduras under the ministry work of Crossings global missionary, Deborah Hunnicutt. God’s hand on this work is evident in the hearts of those who served to remove this equipment and in its installation in Roatan, where it will bring joy to the children there.

Volunteers Gene Carlsward, Jeff Thompson, Matt Clayton, Clint Pitzer, Josh Travis, and Don Schrock enjoyed this unique opportunity to work together to encourage Deborah’s ministry, the children of Roatan, and each other. Take a look at some highlights from this project below!
