morning meditation

Morning thought as we enter to worship God . . .

Pastor Matt Anderson mentioned last Sunday that as beings created in the image of God, we were created with a need for community. In the nature of our Triune God, how Jesus interacted with His disciples, even the way the early church formed, all reflect this truth. This need for community makes our corporate worship experiences-when we gather to celebrate God’s word and share the Lord’s table-so vital to our pilgrimage as followers of Jesus. What happens as we gather to worship, pray for one another, be forgiven and be renewed also empowers us as we are scattered into the mission field of our world, to share the love of Christ freely.
