Scope of Position:

Provides a variety of administrative, production and organizational support to ensure the effective administration of the mission and goals of the Communications ministry and Crossings Community Church.

This position is a full-time position (40 hours weekly). The work week at Crossings is Monday – Sunday. Typical work hours will be Monday through Friday. Actual days and hours of work are subject to event schedules as well as department and church needs which may require days and hours beyond or different from your typical work week.

Organizational Relationship:

Reports to the Director of Internal Communications. This position interfaces with most departments and campuses throughout Crossings Community Church as well as Crossings Community Clinic, Crossings Community Center, various vendors, and volunteers.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making within the scope of the job
  • Ability to solve problems and implement strategies to improve processes
  • Highly developed proficiency, competency, and speed in computer operation including standard MS office software such as Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in the use of Internet including Google and Gmail
  • Proficiency in production software such as Adobe In-Design program helpful
  • Quick and accurate aptitude for acquisition of other software, database and scheduling applications such as Fellowship One and ServiceU
  • Proficiency in writing and editing skills

Responsibilities

Including but not limited to the following

  • Assist Communications Department in keeping all date information current, including but not limited to: video monitors, information walls, event/lobby posters, worship folders, scheduling calendar, website
  • Complete computer-related tasks including, but not limited to: staff & volunteer name tags, door signs, celebrate recovery note sheet, worship folder/connection card/sermon notes, budget, income and expense records as required, communications volunteer attendance, Fellowship One/ServiceU class/event registrations, weekly email using Mail Chimp, create and maintain photo database
  • Filing and maintaining records: creating/maintaining current files, purging old files, cleaning & maintaining storage areas
  • Research new products, systems, etc.
  • Obtain price quotes for printing, ads, etc.
  • Participate in weekly Communication Deptartment meeting
  • Back up for printing
  • Back up for Tape Ministry
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Assist in maintaining the highest possible ministry standards and professional ethics in accordance with the goals, Purpose Statement, and Core Values of Crossings Community Church
  • Support the leadership of CCC, contributing to the spirit of unity among the staff and congregation
  • Represent Crossings in civic and ministry-related efforts as approved
  • Complete any other tasks as may be needed to fulfill this position or as may be assigned to fulfill the needs, mission and goals of the Communications Ministry

Physical and Other Requirements for Position

Be able to walk a long distance (up to a quarter of a mile) and be able to lift and carry 25 – 35 pound parcels for distances of up to 500 feet and possess a current driver’s license.

A mature walk with Christ exhibiting the spiritual gifts of administration/organization, encouragement, helps, and hospitality.

Education and Experience

Minimum High School diploma or equivalent, plus extensive computer experience, plus additional specialized training in office database, software, and systems.

It’s desirable, though not required, that the Administrative Assistant shall have completed a minimum of one-year undergraduate work and/or Vo-tech clerical training, experience in event planning, organization, and execution, experience in a church or non-profit environment

  • Ability to work with and coordinate volunteers
  • Keep records of budget, income and expenses as required.
  • Work with Finance Department regarding travel arrangements, budget
  • Assist with calendaring and booking needs for Missions pastor and team
  • Prepare letters, brochures, and correspondence for mailing
  • Prepare materials for volunteer training, meetings or events
  • Assist in organizing and promotion of ministry experiences and special events
  • Facilitate enrollment, tracking and follow-up arrangements for global mission trips
  • Request room / equipment reservations in ServiceU for ministry specific usage
  • Maintain information in Fellowship 1 as related to the Missions and Outreach Ministries, which includes the following: record attendance in FellowshipOne, establish groups & rosters in FellowshipOne, prepare reports in FellowshipOne
  • Run various reports as requested
  • Maintain web page updates in cooperation with Communications and Web team
  • Serve as point person in booking, setup, volunteer coordination for Community center facilities utilization
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed

Staff Nurse – Crossings Community Clinic

The staff nurse position fulfills clinical administrative tasks and nursing support during clinic hours.   • Current Oklahoma RN or LPN licensure in good standing.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Recent clinical experience in nursing (3 years minimum preferred)
  • Desire to serve in a non-profit mission health arena
  • Ability to form and maintain vibrant relationships that point people to Jesus.
  • Displays the spiritual gifts of administration, giving, serving, and leadership.
  • Knowledgeable of current clinical standards of care.
  • An organized self-starter who can effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Intermediate computer skills including experience with an EHR.
  • Must have demonstrated strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Train, supervise, delegate to, and lead volunteers and students.
  • Establish professional relationships with internal and external resources.
  • Assist with quality assurance programs and process improvement.
  • Act as a patient liaison to assist with patient questions, calls, and follow-up care; provide patient education; and assist patient to access community resources
  • Clinical procedures and skills (assessments, injections, lab draws, EKG, etc).
  • Ensure continuous patient flow and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain clinic logs (including CLIA lab requirements)
  • Audit to ensure the medical record is complete and well organized.
  • Ensure clinic is appropriately stocked and ready to receive patients and volunteers
  • Is present to supervise occasional evening and weekend clinics, when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Be able to stand for up to two hours, walk a quarter of a mile, and to lift and carry 15-25 pounds for 500 feet
  • Must possess a current driver’s license.
  • Has the ability for a flexible schedule as some evenings and weekend hours may be required.
  • Maintain a vibrant relationship with Christ through prayer, Bible study, and fellowship.

The Nursery Caregiver shall provide loving care to Crossing Community Church Nursery children (0-3 years) to lay a firm foundation of faith in the lives of the babies and toddlers. In a very real sense you, along with their parents, are their first picture of God and His love for them.

Organizational Relationship:

This position reports to the Nursery Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet parents and child warmly at the door calling the child by name, if known.
  • Ensure diaper bags and other belongings are marked with child’s name. Check for nametag on child.
  • Check for diaper change needs, and be aware of signs of discomfort.
  • Comply with security check-in and out procedures as outlined in training manual.
  • Interact with children through age appropriate toys, books, music, etc.
  • Attend mandatory training meeting (annually).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursery Supervisor.

Wednesdays from 5:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Sub ONLY – Mother’s Day Out – Tuesday/Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
