The role of Summer/Fall internships at Crossings Kids is to identify and/or cultivate a call to ministry for the participant through hands-on experiences in a church setting.

Summer Internships will begin May 2018 and Fall Internships will begin August 2018.

The Crossings Kids Internship Program is designed to provide the exposure, experience, and development opportunities necessary to build a foundation for your calling.

We cultivate this call by:

  • Exposing the intern to excellent ministry work and leaders.
  • Developing the intern’s leadership and ministry gifts through interaction with key staff and volunteer leaders.
  • Giving the intern equal opportunities to lead and be led. Duties will be chosen to give the intern opportunities to manage the details of programming and also to practice ministry, participating in many of the programs while serving in Crossings Kids.
  • Helping the intern grow in knowledge, faith, and maturity within a Children’s or Preteen Ministry setting.

Interns Will:

  • Have hands-on experience, from behind the scenes brainstorming, supply preparation, to communication, and development.
  • Interns are an important part of our weekly large group programming and play a critical part in creating a dynamic experience for our kids (Sunday and Midweek)
  • Interns will have the opportunity to build relationships with families, kids, and volunteers within your assigned ministry area.
  • Interns have scheduled meetings with their supervisor to sharpen gifts and talents, push past their comfort zone through one-on-one
  • Interns participate in weekly team meetings with fellow interns by participating in weekly rehearsals and group learning opportunities.
  • Interns are involved with all special events for kids that take place throughout the school year. Interns will have the opportunity to do prep work for each event as well as lead kids during the actual event.
  • Interns will also have the opportunity to attend monthly staff chapel, all church staff meetings, team meeting (contingent upon their college schedule and flexibility).
  • Interns will be exposed to how our staff connects and what they do through the week. This allows our interns a better understanding of how full-time ministry operates.

The Management Information Systems (MIS) Director position plans, directs and manages the MIS Department in order to ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective systems and efficient computer operations to facilitate the mission of the organization as defined by the senior management team. As a manager, the incumbent provides company-wide direction in areas of policy and planning for data processing and related functions (communication, office systems, intercampus connectivity, etc.). Will demonstrate a passion for technology and attention to detail.

Organizational Relationship:

Reports to the Director of Finance and Administration. Will oversee staff in the MIS department.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs the design and maintenance of systems, programs, and software to meet management and company needs.
  • Establish policies, standards, practices and security measures to ensure effective and efficient use of technology to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Maintain the computer network/systems and telephone system of the church, troubleshooting and restoring to operation as quickly as possible.
  • Responsible for keeping documentation updated of all resources and processes owned by the MIS department.
  • Equip all personnel levels with training to best leverage current and new technology to meet the organization’s mission.
  • Champion the use of CRM tools throughout the organization.
  • Research and recommend technologies that enhance ministry and office operation; seek out tools that aid users in performing daily tasks.
  • Schedule, prioritize, and envision an ever-growing list of projects.
  • Ensure appropriate security measures are in place for the network/systems that minimize damage to equipment and loss of productivity due to unauthorized access being obtained.
  • Obtain quotes/bids on needed hardware and software that has been budgeted and for which cash flows permit the purchase.
  • Keep abreast of the current trends in technology through periodicals, seminars/conferences, and dialogue with MIS professionals on other church staffs.
  • Exercise discretion and confidentiality with information that may be worked with from time-to-time.
  • Demonstrate good stewardship, balancing the desire for great technology solutions with the restrictions of a finite budget so that ministry can be maximized.
  • Formulate an annual budget (operating and capital asset) for recommendation to the Finance Committee through the Director of Finance and Administration for inclusion in each year’s annual budget.

Skills Required for Position

The MIS Director shall be one who exhibits the spiritual gifts of administration, helps, and encouragement. He/she shall possess an advanced understanding of networking (LAN/WAN, WiFi), virtualization, VoIP phone systems, and cloud-based technologies. He/she shall possess a strong focus on customer service with the ability to communicate clearly and patiently work with users of all technology levels. (S)he will demonstrate leadership abilities to directly lead the MIS department and laterally lead technology for other departments in the organization. The incumbent will have extensive project management capabilities to be able to evaluate and prioritize short term items and long term projects.

Education and Experience

The MIS Director should possess an undergraduate degree in MIS/computer science and/or a minimum of five (5) years’ experience leading technology.

KIDS Ministry 2018 Intern – Edmond Campus

The Crossings Kids Edmond Intern position will be part-time (10-12 hours per week) for the 2018 calendar year.

This position reports to the Crossings Kids Pastor for the Edmond campus and will additionally work on occasion under the supervision of the campus Nursery Director.

Armed Security Professional – OKC Campus

Organizational Relationship:

Responsibilities

  • Provide Security and Protection of Ministries occurring at the Crossings Community Church (CCC) Campuses. Duties to include but not limited to: Interior/exterior monitoring and patrolling of all land, buildings, and outdoor areas located on the approximately 75+ acre ministry campus to include the facilities/grounds of Crossings Christian School. (Hours to be determined by Crossings Security Ministry)
  • The Security Professional will wear an assigned uniform identifying them as a member of the Crossings Security Team. (Uniform to be provided by CCC)
  • Responsible for locking and unlocking interior and exterior doors as scheduled/requested by staff.
  • Responsible for unlocking and locking CCC Campus entry gates and ensuring all gates are secure and locked by specified scheduled times unless otherwise directed by CCC/Crossings Security Director.
  • Operation and monitoring of CCC’s building alarm system when applicable.
  • Serve as contact person (as directed) for the alarm company monitoring CCC’s Security alarm.
  • Recommend to Director, names of individuals that might be added to a pool of volunteers and paid contract security for employment or use at events.
  • Participate in any training as needed of volunteers and contract labor in duties and expectations of security service as requested by Director of Security.
  • Assist in investigations that may arise about incidents involving missing items or suspicious activity reported by Church staff members, and make concise reports of such investigations.
  • Make recommendations of policy and procedures through Director of Security that might enhance/improve security for the Church and its membership.
  • Work with various Law Enforcement agencies as may be required to insure security for the Church and its members; request city police intervention/action as situations may warrant.
  • Following each shift, log any security incidents occurring on church property, with details about the incident and how it was resolved, sharing the information with Director of Security in the method agreed upon with the Director.
  • Maintain proficiency with approved firearm, as demonstrated with twice yearly CLEET firearms qualification.

Organizational Relationship:

This position is a full-time 40-hour work week that includes regular evening as well as occasional weekend responsibility. This position is overseen and works closely with the LifeCare Programming Pastor and is supervised by the Lead Administrative Assistant. All positions within the department ultimately report to the LifeCare Pastor.

Responsibilities

    Programming and Event

    • Co-ordinate with the assigned LC Ministry Leads to provide administrative support all aspects of each assigned LC Ministry Program (Currently: CareSeries, Becoming One, Wednesday Night Classes, and special LC events.
    • Manage all assigned LC program and event curriculum.
    • Assist Ministry Lead in volunteer support by attending to their request and observed needs.
    • Collect, track, update attendance reports, as well as, other assigned reports, as requested.
    • Oversee and coordinate facilities usage and set-up for all assigned programs and special LC offerings and events.
    • Oversee all aspects of hospitality for each assigned LC program and event as well as ongoing department needs as requested.
    • Provide on-site administrative and hospitality support to all Assigned Program events.
    • Act as the Department’s primary Purchasing Agent

     
    LifeCare PR

    • Prepare and oversee distribution of marketing pieces and PR releases for LC as assigned.
    • Maintain an accurate contact information list for inbound community referral sources.
    • Assist in the preparations of LifeCare submissions for church newsletter, website, and mailings as requested.

     
    Counseling Ministry

    • Provide back-up assistance for telephone activity;
    • Rescheduling established counselees as needed

Organizational Relationship:

The Assistant Facilities Manager shall report to the Director of Facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Daily supervise, support, and assist custodial staff.
  • Order and manage inventory of paper goods, cleaning supplies, and equipment within the adequate budget allowed.
  • Schedule staff appropriately each day, within the approved adequate budget amounts, to ensure cleaning duties including but not limited to floors, carpets, bathrooms, towel and soap dispensers, window glass, door glass, walls, ceilings, classrooms, storage areas, electrical closets, common areas, kitchens, entries and vestibules are completed in a timely manner. Cleaning duties should take place after each use of any area of the building and completed before the next use of the building area is scheduled.
  • Daily monitor, through use of an online time clock, each custodian’s clock in and clock out time. At each shift change (21 per week) ensure that adequate personnel are on duty to support the cleaning needs and event support of the facility.
  • Adjust schedule as needed daily to accommodate scheduled church events.
  • Inspect all areas of the building daily to ensure that the previous day or previous shift’s custodial assignments were accomplished in a satisfactory manner.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the custodial staff to discuss areas for improvement and more importantly to offer encouragement and support.
  • Communicate daily with each member of the custodial staff to ensure each custodian is adequately equipped to carry out their responsibilities utilizing personal conversation, email or text.
  • If needed temporarily assume the duties of any custodial staff person that fail to report to work for sick days, vacation days, or personal reasons.

  • Cooperate with a ministry strategy to address the relational, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of students and lead by example in meeting those needs.
  • Work with the Lead Pastor of High School Ministry in the selection of curricula and curricular goals.
  • Work with the Lead Pastor of High School Ministry in identifying, recruiting, equipping and supporting volunteers for high school students.
  • Work with the Lead Pastor of High School Ministry to provide leadership and oversight to the weekly gatherings, quality of teaching and programming and student trips.

Scope of Position:

The Physician Medical Director provides direct patient care, sets standards of care by overseeing policy, guiding, directing and training other medical volunteers and assumes supervisory responsibility for the Advanced Practitioners in a Christ‐centered environment. The Physician Medical Director is a collaborative member of the health care team performing duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the mission and values of Crossings Community Clinic. The Physician Medical Director also serves as a member of the Clinic Leadership Team and reports to the Director of Crossings Community Clinic.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an ACGME or AACOM accredited medical school and accepted residency.
  • Board certified/eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • In good standing with the state of Oklahoma Medical Board and qualified for standard malpractice insurance rates.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of health planning and management.
  • Intermediate skills with an EHR
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of the health care team promoting excellent patient care.
  • Ability to actively engage, lead, coach, develop, and energize volunteers and staff.
  • Ability to be a spiritual leader among the staff and volunteers with a strong commitment to the mission.
  • Strong spiritual gifts of discernment, compassion, teaching, and encouragement.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses the health status of individuals and families through history taking, physical examination and diagnosis. 

  • Prescribes and manages the medical plan of care for assigned patients. Initiates follow‐up for lab and diagnostic testing results as indicated. Initiates and maintains accurate records.

  • Provides educational information to patient and family regarding the patient condition, promotes health maintenance collaborating with the team to coordinate and facilitate optimal health and care. 

  • Provides clinical supervision/oversight of Advanced Practitioner(s). 

  • Conducts chart reviews to ensure appropriate documentation and record keeping by staff and volunteer providers.
  • Recommends opportunities for improvement and service expansion to enhance the offering of effective prevention and medical interventions.
  • Ensures compliance with standards, laws and regulations as created by regulatory and accrediting organizations. 

  • Prays with patients/families/staff/volunteers and directs, when needed to, resources for healthy physical and spiritual lives. 

  • Participates in the recruitment, selection and orientation of physician volunteers.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with volunteers and related community organizations that are partners in the clinics ministry. Represents the interests of the Clinic within the community as a ministry. 

  • Participates in interview and selection process of key clinic personnel. 

  • Assists with the educational activities for the staff and Clinic volunteers.
  • Other duties may be assigned to fulfill the job’s position.

Commitment

Part‐time, salaried position, no benefits; occasional evenings/weekends 


Physical and Other Requirements

  • Be able to stand for up to four hours, walk a quarter of a mile, and to lift and carry 15-25 pounds for 500 feet
  • Must possess a current driver’s license.
  • Has the ability for a flexible schedule as some evenings and weekend hours may be required.
  • Maintain a vibrant relationship with Christ through prayer, Bible study, and fellowship.

The Nursery Caregiver shall provide loving care to Crossing Community Church Nursery children (0-3 years) to lay a firm foundation of faith in the lives of the babies and toddlers. In a very real sense you, along with their parents, are their first picture of God and His love for them.

Organizational Relationship:

This position reports to the Nursery Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet parents and child warmly at the door calling the child by name, if known.
  • Ensure diaper bags and other belongings are marked with child’s name. Check for nametag on child.
  • Check for diaper change needs, and be aware of signs of discomfort.
  • Comply with security check-in and out procedures as outlined in training manual.
  • Interact with children through age appropriate toys, books, music, etc.
  • Attend mandatory training meeting (annually).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursery Supervisor.

Skills and Gifts Required for Position

  • Love for babies and toddlers

Wednesdays from 5:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Sub ONLY – Mother’s Day Out – Tuesday/Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
