Crossings Joseph Harp, our satellite campus at Joseph Harp Correctional Center since April 2018, was recently featured on the Church of God News website!

Crossings Joseph Harp celebrated its one-year anniversary on May 5, 2019 and some of the inmates shared with Crossings Pastor of Prison Ministry, Jeremiah Braudrick, that the event was the most moving experience they’ve ever had in their lives. Over 270 inmates attended the service, as well as 65 volunteers and 30 inmate volunteers. The day was full of games, service, worship, snacks, photo booth time, fellowship, and more!

One incredible highlight from the celebration was the moment the inmates presented Senior Pastor Marty Grubbs with a check for $1,000 just to show their appreciation. The inmates had been saving it over a year to demonstrate they’re a part of the church and they want to give like everyone else in our church. As the event was wrapping up, other inmates came forward to share a love offering, too.

“It was just an amazing event,” said Jeremiah. “The inmates at Crossings Joseph Harp truly feel they are part of our church. They’re not simply targets of a ministry; they’re family and fellow church members. Events like our one-year anniversary help them feel that, because it’s very true.”
