From its start at Belle Isle Community Church in 1959, Crossings Flower Arrangement and Delivery ministry has encouraged those who need to be reminded of God’s love and feel the support of our church family. Through this impactful Congregational Care ministry, volunteers thoughtfully arrange fresh flowers and prepare them for delivery throughout the week. Additional volunteers hand-deliver those arrangements to those who are experiencing the loss of a loved one, surgery, medical treatments, discouragement, loneliness, and those who are shut-in or in nursing homes.

The Flower Arrangement and Delivery Ministry is comprised of those who create each arrangement and 26 drivers who complete six to seven deliveries each week. Each volunteer prays for the flower recipient, sometimes immediately while they are delivering their arrangements.

Recipients of these lovely flower arrangements often express their excitement, surprise, and gratitude for being remembered in this way. One of the most recent deliveries was to a lady who celebrated her 96th birthday, and another recipient shared, “I just needed something today, and God was at the door.”
