If you have already established an estate plan that names the church as the beneficiary, in whole or in part, of your estate, you do not need to make any changes to your estate plan. The church has adopted a policy that states any bequests or beneficiary amounts received from a member of Crossings that are not designated for purpose will be accepted by the church and passed through to the endowment. This saves church members from incurring added time and expense in amending estate documents, and the policy will facilitate the growth of the endowment in order to help it achieve a size that will enable the fund to begin making annual grants to the church.
