Title: “A New Life”
God wants to renew our hearts and help us live the life He intended for us to live. In Titus 3:4-7, the Apostle Paul explains that as a result of God’s love, He saved us, not because of any good thing we have done but because of His mercy. He washes away the sin and pain in our life and gives us a new life through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit into our hearts through Jesus Christ.
The painting demonstrates the process of renewal in our hearts through the work of the Holy Spirit. In the middle of the painting is a damaged heart. It represents our damaged hearts in a lonely world full of darkness. The Holy Spirit, depicted by the white flowing lines, breaks through the darkness and pours down from the top of the painting filling and embracing the heart; giving it new life shown by the yellow glow emitting from center of the heart. The Spirit continues to flow from the heart and towards the bottom right to illustrate the continuous work of the power of God in our life as we move outward into the world from a place of intimate mercy with a new surrendered life and journey.
