By | Dollar Club, Stories

Wings and Crossings Community Church have been partners in ministry and have supported each other through the years through fellowship, encouragement, and biblical community. Take a look at how God is working through Wings, The Super Scoop, and Crossings!

“Ministry can’t happen without volunteers and volunteers maximize our capacity at Wings.” – Cheri Weaver

Dollar Club – The Super Scoop

By | Dollar Club, Stories

The Super Scoop ice cream shop in Edmond, Oklahoma was started by one of Crossings’ own students, Riley Eden, before his junior year at the University of Oklahoma. Riley, who has always had a heart for our Special Needs ministry as well as the special needs ministry of Wings, was led from a relaxing summer at home right into a life-changing ministry that has impacted many people. When asked about how God has worked in his life to lead him to this point, Riley says:

God has shown me to prioritize others before myself and He’s also shown me to put others who are overlooked in society before myself.

Thanks to your generous contributions, we have been able to share the blessing of the Dollar Club with The Super Scoop this July.

Dollar Club – Heart for Lebanon

By | Dollar Club, Stories

Heart for Lebanon began in 2006 as a ministry designed to be the hands and feet of Jesus to a broken community. Leaders Camille and Hoda Melki along with their daughters, May-Lee and Amy, continue to work with Heart for Lebanon today to care for those who may not otherwise be cared for or spiritually supported. In their words:

What we do is we take the loving, caring, compassionate heart that Jesus has to every marginalized and dejected family and community.

Thanks to your generous contributions, we have been able to share the blessing of the Dollar Club with Heart for Lebanon this June.

Dollar Club – Mother’s Day

By | Dollar Club, Stories

This Mother’s Day was a special one for single mom Tess, a hardworking mother to her four-year-old son Oliver. Tess is going to school, working at Perk Place, and working to take care of her son. When asked about what is the most meaningful part of being a mom, she said this:

I think I got lucky when God gave me Oliver. I’ve matured a lot and I realized I needed goals in my life. I had my son and everything changed. I want to make the best life possible for him.

Thanks to your generous contributions, we have been able to share the blessing of the Dollar Club with Tess and Oliver this Mother’s Day.

Dollar Club – Jeri

By | Dollar Club, Stories

Meet Jeri, an incredible mother of 15-year-old twin boys who have cerebral palsy. Jeri adopted her sons and has worked tirelessly to give them a great, God-filled life here at Crossings. She states, “I wish I could do more for them. I wish I could make it easier for them. But I’m not giving up…I know it’s God’s timing.” Thanks to your generous contributions, we have been able to share the blessing of the Dollar Club with Jeri and her sons so she can purchase a vehicle that is safer for the boys and wheelchair accessible.

Dollar Club – Ed the Bus

By | Dollar Club, Stories

Meet Ed the bus, a 56-year-old bus that has changed countless lives. The ministry where Ed the bus originated began in the 1930s and existed to provide a safe space for kids growing up in rough neighborhoods. This “Straight Shooter” ministry of hope has continued to grow and bring children to church to demonstrate God’s love for them. Thanks to your generous contributions, we have been able to share the blessing of the Dollar Club so that Ed the Bus can be restored and continue to be a vehicle for hope.
