No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

– 1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV

Heavenly Father,
There seems to be temptation everywhere I look. I feel like I can’t escape it. It’s comforting to know that I’m not alone, that others struggle, too, and have for thousands of years. This isn’t new to you. Thank you that you are mindful of my burdens, that you will always, always provide a way to endure and not give in, to fight and not give up. I pray for strength for whatever test I may face, and when it comes down to a battle of wills, as it always does, let me surrender to you, Lord, and stand victorious.
In your powerful name,
