But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

– Isaiah 40:31 NIV

You hold me up when I am beaten down from the burdens of this world. When I am weak, you are strong, steady, and unwavering. You alone renew my strength and give needed endurance when I face trials or am unsettled by conflicts in relationships. Help me to be patient and wait on your promise to carry me through. You are trustworthy. You hide me in the safety of your wings, and in that safety, I am able to soar unhindered by human weariness. Whatever lies before me, I will not faint; I can persevere because you are my hope and my strength.
It is in this power I pray,

While we struggle to carry the burdens of our lives with us each day, it’s easy to think we’re on our own when dealing with the consequences of the decisions we make. We often break down because we feel alone, but today’s prayer reminds us God’s steadfast strength gives us endurance and a power we can only find in him. As you pray today’s prayer and explore today’s Scripture, watch “Depression: The Pit of Despair,” a sermon in which Senior Pastor Marty Grubbs gets real about depression, our burdens, and ways we can rely on God in all situations.
