And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness. For example, at times we don’t even know how to pray, or know the best things to ask for. But the Holy Spirit rises up within us to super-intercede on our behalf, pleading to God with emotional sighs too deep for words.

– Romans 8:26 TPT

Thank you for sending your Spirit as an advocate, to dwell with me and be with me always. In times when I don’t know how to pray, when I can’t find the words, or simply won’t admit what needs to be said, the Holy Spirit intercedes on my behalf with compassionate pleas and supplications. While I may not have words, I am not silent, for He gives divine voice to my soul’s still utterances. How comforting it is that you hear my unspoken prayers and the muted cries of my heart, and I am fully known, deeper than words can say.

How often do you find yourself in complete silence and stillness? How often do you shut out the world to focus on God? Our lives are full of busyness that can clutter our minds and hearts with distraction and noise. Today, reserve ten minutes to be in complete silence and stillness with God to focus on what is truly important above all else: your relationship with him.
