He found him in a desert land, and in the howling waste of the wilderness; he encircled him, he cared for him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young, spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions, the Lord alone guided him.

– Deuteronomy 32:10-12a ESV

I know I will experience times in the wilderness during this life, times of desolation, even hopelessness. When I am lost, remind me that I am not alone, that you are ever-present, watching over me, caring for me because I am dearly loved by you. I can trust that you will not leave me in a place of longing, but in your kind and gentle way, you will stir me to move, guide me where I need to go, and carry me when I cannot bear the weight alone. You are my refuge and my strength.

There are seasons in our lives when we can feel lost, alone, or even abandoned. Trials and difficulties wear us down and sometimes, God’s voice can be unclear to us. Today, think about the challenges God has brought you through and share them using the “Share Your Story” form below to encourage someone else who may be experiencing similar challenges right now.
