SCRIPTURE:

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

– Romans 5:3-5

PRAYER:

Dear God,
I know that regardless of what today holds for me, you are with me. You have given me your Holy Spirit and filled me with your love–a love that will not fail me. This deep, abiding love sustains me and gives me the strength I need to lean into the hard times, to persevere through challenges. My hope is in you alone, Lord, and you are trustworthy. You are a good and faithful God. Whether I find myself celebrating today, or encountering and enduring trials, I pray I will respond with godly character that reflects your presence within me and brings you glory.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
