Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

– Micah 7:18-19

There is none like you. When I turn to you in humble confession, you are loving and compassionate. Sometimes the guilt I carry for what I’ve done seems almost too much to bear. But, in your tender mercy, your redemption is complete and I am set free. Bring to mind now, Lord, anything that needs to be surrendered, confessed, forgiven, crushed underfoot, and drowned beneath the depths of the sea, never to be seen again, and let me experience the freedom that comes only from your generous grace.
In your mighty name,
