Crossings Edmond

This somber service introduces the season of Lent and helps us center our hearts on Jesus as we approach Easter. There are six services on Wednesday, February 14 in lieu of regularly scheduled adult classes:

       Crossings Edmond
          12:00 & 6:30 p.m.
Nursery care & kids programs will meet as usual; students will join the service in the Venue.

       Crossings OKC Chapel
          7:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., & 6:30 p.m.
Nursery care (birth-3 years) is available for the 12:00 p.m. service.
Dinner will still be available beginning at 5:15 p.m.
At 6:30 p.m., Nursery care & kids programs will meet as usual; students will have a service in the Venue.

The service includes worship, an opportunity for communion, and the choice to share in the imposition of ashes.

Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent—the 40-day season of preparation leading up to Easter. The optional imposition of ashes during the service is a physical symbol of our repentance and death to our selfish nature (Galatians 2:20). Ash Wednesday starts Lent by calling us to focus our hearts on repentance and prayer while looking forward to the joy of Easter and the celebration of Christ’s resurrection.
